Broken Trail
An aging cowboy and his nephew drive 500 horses from Oregon to Wyoming to supply the British Army. What begins as a simple haul soon becomes a rescue mission when they free five Chinese girls from a slave trader, saving them from prostitution and indentured servitude. Spurred by a sense of duty, they continue their perilous trek across the frontier with the rescued girls in tow, all while being stalked by a ruthless gang of killers dispatched by the whorehouse madam who originally funded the trafficking. Broken Trail interweaves two historical threads: Britain’s late nineteenth‑century horse purchases in the American West and the transport of Chinese women from the West Coast to the interior to serve as prostitutes.
