Brother and Sister
Neukölln, Berlin's hip district where living space is at a premium. Without solid proof of creditworthiness and income, securing a home is virtually impossible. Thies, a property-management professional, knows the rules inside out and enforces them—until he meets Bruno and Sonja. He discreetly grants the two siblings a flat rent-free and begins an affair with Bruno. Step by step, he grows increasingly entangled in the secret of the siblings. This is a Berlin film about a loner who gets drawn in; about a couple with an uncertain residency status; and about a city that everyone longs to live in.
