Capitol Critters
Capitol Critters is an animated series that chronicles the lives of mice, rats, and roaches dwelling in the basement and walls of the White House in Washington, D.C. Produced by Steven Bochco Productions and Hanna-Barbera, in association with 20th Century Fox Television for ABC, the show aired seven of its thirteen episodes from January 31, 1992 to March 14, 1992. Cartoon Network later broadcast the entire 13-episode run in 1995. The program formed part of a wave of attempts by major networks to launch prime-time animated fare intended to rival the surprise success of Fox's The Simpsons, alongside CBS's Fish Police and Family Dog; all three ventures were unsuccessful and were cancelled shortly after their debut.
