Cat's Eye
Three linked short stories form a creepy triptych, threaded together by a stray cat that roams from one tale to the next. The collection opens with Dick attempting to quit smoking by any means necessary. The second tale follows Johnny, an adulterous man who is forced by his lover's husband onto a building's hazardous ledge. In the finale, Amanda faces a malevolent gnome whose sinister machinations cast suspicion on the family cat.
