Challenge of the Gladiator

A devious Roman senator, Lucius Quintilius, sets out on a covert expedition into Thrace to recover a legendary treasure. He is accompanied by his daughter Livia, who is disguised as a Christian slave girl, his ruthless henchman Commodio, and Terenzius, an ex-gladiator and Nero look-alike who deceives the Thracians into believing he is the genuine emperor. Lucius's scheme is derailed by Spartacus and his band of rebels, who seize the treasure for Thrace. News from Rome that the real Nero has died prompts the local governor, Consul Metellus, to ally with Spartacus to defeat the traitors.
