Chasing Windmills

In 1934, 16-year-old Koos Bink grows up in Crooswijk, a deprived district of Rotterdam. He longs to escape the misery, inspired by his hero, boxer Bep van Klaveren, aka The Dutch Windmill. Hoping to follow in the footsteps of the Dutch Olympic champion, he becomes a stowaway aboard a luxury passenger ship, attempting to reach America. Yet Koos learns that dreaming alone is not enough.
