Cold Lazarus

Cold Lazarus is a four-part British television drama crafted by Dennis Potter, conceived while he faced terminal pancreatic cancer. As the companion piece to Karaoke, it stands as Potter's only foray into science fiction. Set in a grim, synthetic 24th-century Britain, the series follows scientists attempting to resurrect the mind of Daniel Feeld, a 20th-century writer whose head was cryonically preserved after his death, shortly following the events of Karaoke. With tangible progress elusive, a shut-down is contemplated, yet media magnate David Siltz, who has been spying on the project, foresees a lucrative bonanza in broadcasting Feeld's memories.
