When physicians at the Antwerp National Institute for Contagious Diseases identify a troubling viral infection in a patient, authorities refuse to take chances. The quarter of the city where the characters live, work, or shop is sealed off for 48 hours in an effort to contain the contagion. Initially, those in the area comply with the measures, but as the quarantine is extended, the mood shifts and tension rises.
