Crowds
Crowds is a feature documentary that records Uruguay's spontaneous mass gatherings—thousands pulled together by faith, passion, celebration, and memory. It probes what happens when individuality is set aside to act as one. The film follows the passions that draw crowds into a shared, choral energy, uncovering the crowd as it transgresses and undergoes catharsis, while it seeks miracles and hope; in perpetual motion it splits and reunites, until they dissipate and individuals re-emerge in their own solitude.
