Arthur and Felix share a close, protective friendship that is tested when Felix lends Arthur his health insurance card. Arthur soon learns that Felix is terminally ill, a diagnosis Felix does not yet know himself. Refusing to summon the courage to break the bad news, Felix becomes ensnared in a labyrinth of deceit, and the dynamic between them flips: Felix, who is actually terminally ill, believes that his healthy friend Arthur will die soon. He selflessly agrees to care for Arthur and to give him a memorable, joyful time in what he believes are the last days of Arthur's life. This twist gives Arthur a fresh perspective on life, while Felix begins to change as well: he opens his heart and learns to love, bit by bit.
