Day of the Kaiju

One month after the total offensive against the suddenly appearing monster, its corpse washes ashore on a local town's beach. Summoned marine biologist Nagamine is tasked with studying the remains and soon discovers that the mayor and government officials intend to erect a storage facility to enclose the monster's body on the beach. Is the creature really dead? Nagamine harbors doubts. Since building the facility near the town would be too perilous, he advises aborting the plan. A tangle of political maneuvering between the government and local authorities ensues, and Nagamine finds himself struggling to halt the project alongside the townspeople.
