Series 1

In the series premiere, DCI Alan Banks is summoned to a canal where a deadly fire has occurred. The case proves far from straightforward, and as a second body comes to light, the motive and the intended victim become increasingly unclear. However, the discovery of what appears to be a Turner landscape suggests that at least one of the victims was entangled in an art-forgery scam.
