Dead Heat

Boston cop Pally is forced into early retirement, putting a strain on his marriage. His stepbrother Ray tries to lift his spirits by tipping him to a sure-bet racehorse. When their bid to claim the champion horse is blocked by a local mob boss who steals the horse as repayment for a gambling debt, their investment is suddenly at stake. With their funds on the line, Pally and Ray are drawn into a dangerous web of underworld crime and murder.
