Dempsey and Makepeace

Dempsey and Makepeace is a British television crime drama produced by London Weekend Television for ITV, created and produced by Ranald Graham. The series starred Michael Brandon and Glynis Barber, who later married on 18 November 1989. The show fused elements from earlier series: the mismatched pairing of British and American crime-fighters from different social classes, a trope seen in The Persuaders!, and the kinetic action of The Professionals.
