While investigating a meteorite crash near their homes, young dinosaur enthusiasts Max, Rex, and Zoe find an unexpected opportunity to put their paleontology knowledge to the test. At the impact site, they uncover three palm-sized tablets and a set of cards featuring a Triceratops. When Max experiments with the new discoveries, he somehow brings the Triceratops from the card to life. Thrilled by the chance to study a real, living dinosaur, the children quickly face a more serious threat: a group of villains has followed the cards to their location and is determined to use them for their own evil purposes.
