Season 2

Snowbird presents Mike with an Indian pony named Flash in gratitude for her work at the reservation. Mike attempts to enter the Territory Stakes Race, but race officials Loren and Jake refuse to permit a woman to ride. Dr. Cassidy arrives from Denver with his champion horse and spurns Mike's collegial attempt to address him as a colleague. When Dr. Cassidy's rider Drew is injured, Mike diagnoses cranial compression, yet Cassidy refuses her assistance. Drew dies and enraged, Mike resolves to enter the race in disguise as a man. Meanwhile, spurred by Grace, Brian enters a pie-baking contest, facing skepticism from Colleen and Loren. To everyone's surprise, Brian is declared the winner. Mike delivers a race of her life and wins, but is disqualified when her disguise is revealed; Hank, riding Dr. Cassidy's horse, is declared the winner.
