Drop the Dead Donkey

Set in the offices of GlobeLink News, this sitcom unfolds in the wake of its acquisition by media mogul Sir Roysten Merchant. Led by editor George Dent, GlobeLink's staff fight to preserve the company as a serious news organization, in opposition to Sir Roysten's right-hand man, Gus Hedges, who seeks to push sensationalism and suppress stories that could harm Roysten's business empire.
