On the surface, the Robertsons read as a quintessential Louisiana clan defined by their devotion to duck hunting season. Yet a closer look reveals a thriving fortune built on that very pursuit. They own and run Duck Commanders, a firm specializing in crafting duck calls and decoys from salvaged swamp wood. What began as a family operation has blossomed into a multimillion-dollar sporting empire, founded in 1973 by patriarch Phil, known as the Duck Commander, and now guided by his business-minded son, Willie. Duck Dynasty follows the Robertsons and their booming enterprise, which also employs Willie's wife Korie, his brother Jase, and Uncle Si, a Vietnam veteran and colorful storyteller who keeps the workshop lively with his many tales.
