Earmark
Meet Mark, a daydreamer who has lived with hearing loss his entire life. As his condition worsens, Mark must listen to his past and confront the present in order to move forward with his life. Sometimes loss doesn't mean lost. During a routine visit to his longtime audiologist, Mark is offered a hearing aid and a pivotal choice. Haunted by childhood torment and bearing a stigma about wearing the device, he lashes out. Yet he recalls his younger self, who was loved and who loved in return, alongside the care shown by his late mother. With courage, he is able to reconnect with her as she guides him through this turbulent season. He comes to understand that he can either shut himself off from the world or open up and begin to accept himself for who he truly is.
