Emma
Emma Woodhouse is a sociable, well-meaning young woman who takes pleasure in meddling in other people's affairs. She is perpetually attempting to unite men and women who are utterly ill-suited for one another. Despite her interest in romance, Emma remains unaware of her own feelings, and her relationship with the gentle Mr. Knightley is a central thread of her story.
