Emma sono io
Francesco Falaschi's comedy I Am Emma presents Cecilia Dazzi as Emma, a woman contending with an unusual disorder. Emma serves on the town council, and her husband, portrayed by Marco Giallini, has taken a mistress because he disapproves of her restrained demeanor. A sudden change in her behavior occurs when the town pharmacist cannot supply Emma's daily depressant dose. The condition makes her naturally effervescent and outgoing, a stark contrast that strains her marriage as she begins embracing her true self. The community reacts with hostility to such brazen candor, yet Emma's best friend, played by Elda Alvigini, finds inspiration in Emma to pursue a life-changing decision.
