Set in Occupied Paris in 1942, a Jewish boy named Isaac escapes a raid conducted by the SS and seeks sanctuary at the Grand Mosque of Paris. There, the imam protects him by passing him off as a Muslim, along with other Jewish children he helps free with the aid of resistance networks. Suspicion rises among the French militia and the Gestapo as the cover is tested. This fictional film is based on the true story of Si Kaddour Benghabrit, the rector of the Paris mosque, who saved several Jews from deportation during World War II.
