Equus

A psychiatrist named Martin Dysart probes the brutal act of blinding six horses with a metal spike at a Hampshire stable in England. The culprit is an unassuming seventeen-year-old stable boy, Alan Strang, the sole son of an outspoken yet inwardly timid father and a refined, devout mother. As Dysart digs into the forces shaping the boy's psyche, he discovers that he himself is forced to confront his own demons.
