What an absolute banger of an action movie. Fabricated City brings a slick high-tech aesthetic, relentless pacing, and some seriously wild action set pieces — especially the chase scenes, which go hard. The cast has tons of charisma, and the electronic score fits the whole vibe perfectly. The story feels a little rushed at first, and a few side characters could’ve used more development, but once the film locks in, it barely matters. The mix of suspense, team dynamics, and creatively over-the-top action just works for me. What’s especially cool is that a lot of those smaller issues get smoothed out in The Manipulated, the series built on the film. It expands the characters, gives the world more room to breathe, and pushes some of the film’s ideas even further. Plus, you’ve got Ji Chang-wook again as the relentlessly hunted protagonist, which ties it together nicely. All in all, a hugely entertaining, high-energy action ride — and honestly even better when paired with the series.
