Season 3
The first 29 episodes adapt the remainder of Volume 24 through the early portion of Volume 25 as part of the Sirius Island arc (Tenrōjima-hen), centering on Natsu and Fairy Tail's strongest members as they undertake the S-Class examination on Sirius Island, only to be interrupted by the arrival of Grimoire Heart, which seeks to retrieve the dark wizard Zeref living on the island. The following 25 episodes present a wholly original, self-contained arc titled Key of the Starry Heavens (Hoshizora no Kagi-hen), and follow Natsu and the members of Fairy Tail as they meet a relative of the Heartfilias' and face a religious sect of warriors, along with a revived Oración Seis, while they pursue the parts to an ancient doomsday weapon.
