Flowers in the Attic
After her husband's death, a mother relocates her children to live with their grandparents in a vast, dilapidated mansion. The kids are kept hidden in a room just below the attic, visited only by their mother, who grows progressively indifferent to their welfare and deteriorating health, focusing instead on herself and the inheritance she aims to reclaim from her ailing father.
