Frankie and Johnny
After his release from prison on a forgery charge, Johnny quickly finds work as a short-order cook in a New York diner. He begins a brief romance with waitress Cora, then grows attracted to Cora's friend and fellow waitress Frankie. Frankie resists Johnny's advances at first, but her best friend Tim persuades her to give Johnny a chance, and she relents.
