When teen heartthrob Frankie Troy disappears, high schooler Freddie Trimble—an uncanny look-alike for the crooner—finds himself singled out by his so-called friends as the radio star. As hijinks ensue, the situation grows more complicated when Troy's wife and newborn arrive.
