Gallopin' Gals

The stage is set for the grand horse race. We drop in on the fillies, who gossip in New York accents. A pre-race fashion parade follows. Maggie doesn’t take part in either moment; she runs every year, but is beset by hay fever. When the race itself begins, Maggie is far back in the field. The other horses hear it will be a photo finish and abruptly stop to pose, but Maggie keeps running and goes on to win the race.
