Ghost in the Shell: Arise - Border 4: Ghost Stands Alone
Set amid the signs of postwar reconstruction in the winter of 2028, the story unfolds in New Port City as demonstrations over foreign cartel interests escalate. This tension erupts into a riot police shooting, traced back to a cyberbrain infection released by the terrorist 'Fire Starter.' An independent offensive unit led by Makoto Kusanagi entrusts the suppression of the crisis to their ghosts, pursuing their own justice. Beneath the incident's surface lie the 'tin girl' Emma and the 'scarecrow man' Burinda Junior. As Kusanagi grapples with the upheaval, she draws closer to what those two ghosts were seeking.
