In 2030, Japan is ravaged as a virus has infected humans across the globe. Infected individuals morph into diverse monster forms determined by their ages, sexes, and races. The virus is named 'Gibia'—a name reflecting its astonishing variety. Then a pair of samurai and a ninja emerge into the blighted wasteland of Japan, traveling from the early Edo period. They fight together with the aid of a doctor who is striving to find a cure for Gibia. Facing ceaseless attacks from Gibias and outlaws who prey on travelers for food, they embark on a dangerous journey with enemies all around.
