Greek Island Odyssey

Historian Bettany Hughes sets out on a sweeping, personal odyssey across the Mediterranean, guided by Homer’s The Odyssey as she retraces Odysseus's arduous journey home. Her mission is to inhabit the experiences of the Greek hero and to uncover the truths behind the myths and legends, all while savoring the delights of ancient Greece in today’s world.
