Gulliver Mickey
Mickey is first shown absorbed in Gulliver's Travels as the orphaned mice pretend to be sailors. When he disrupts their game, he seeks redemption by recounting the Liliput sequences as if they were a real event that happened to him, stepping into Gulliver's role. The tale culminates with Mickey rescuing the town from a colossal spider named Pete. Yet after he concludes the story, one child swings a fake spider attached to a fishing rod, startling Mickey and shaking him from his composure.
