Hacking at Leaves
Hacking at Leaves chronicles artist and hazmat-suit aficionado Johannes Grenzfurthner as he grapples with the United States' colonial legacy, the history of the Navajo Nation, and the hacker movement. The film centers on a small tinkering workshop in Durango, Colorado, renowned for its pivotal contributions to global COVID relief efforts. Yet the project derails when federal interference (embodied by Uncle Sam) disrupts the production.
