Ajay Nath hails from a wealthy family and earns a reputation for pranks and playful schemes aimed at bending his parents to his will. To secure a Kashmir outing with his college friends, he has Dr. Panjabi, the family physician, tell his father that he has cancer. He then falls for Geeta Chopra, who is in love with Shyam. Misled by the feigned illness, Ajay's father persuades Geeta to show him kindness, and she becomes friendly with Ajay; the two soon fall in love and vow to marry. Then the family receives the startling news that Ajay truly has cancer and has only a few months to live. Under these changed circumstances, both the Nath and Chopra families oppose the marriage. Will Ajay and Geeta wed? Is the cancer real, or merely another prank?
