High Strung
Thane Furrows, an extremely cynical yet unintentionally hilarious author of children's books, wakes to a morning when nearly everything and everyone annoys him, launching into another day of muttered gripes. Yet the day proves to be far from ordinary when Thane begins to receive strange phone calls, letters, and voices in his head, all signaling that something will happen at 8 o'clock. As the hours advance, Thane vents and rants about the very things that irritate him, while the clock inexorably ticks toward his destiny.
