Michelle, an interior designer who is newly married to Robert, balances professional ambition with domestic bliss. Linda, who lives alone, fills her days with painting and regular exercise classes. Desiring a new friendship, Linda compels the reserved, deferential Michelle to visit her home for a spontaneous interior-design consultation. Once there, it becomes clear that Linda conceals something far more sinister than mere decor.
