Mizuguchi Saki is an exceptional fashion magazine editor raised in a modern, liberal household. She meets Obara Koichi, the star of the Air Rescue Wing in the Air Self-Defense Force, who grew up in a strict military family and embodies the archetypal straight-laced mindset. Although Saki and Koichi are polar opposites, they marry quickly without dating, confident they will begin a blissful life as newlyweds after a lavish wedding ceremony. But as they live under the same roof, their divergent lifestyles and values lead to clashes and heated disagreements. Saki and Koichi soon decide to divorce. Yet breaking the news to their families, colleagues, and friends who celebrated the union and looked forward to their future proves challenging, prompting the couple to conduct discreet behind-the-scenes efforts to navigate their separation.
