Sam Dothro, a rising stand-up comedian in his mid-20s, is primed for the debut of his very first comedy special when tragedy strikes. His best friend, Adam Beckman, dies suddenly, and the grief robs Sam of the spark that makes him funny. Now, on the eve of the big show, Sam must reconcile with Adam's memory to move forward and become funny again.
