I Want You To Pause This

In I Want You To Pause This, sound, image, and text unfold in unison, with the central focus continually deferred as the three registers compete for attention. The paradox is that the only proper way to watch the film is to stop watching—pause and inspect the stills. The narrative follows a time-travelling 'aconceptualist' who journeys back in time to prevent his jokey art movement from being taken seriously, only to find himself on a beach from his childhood.
