I Went Down

Just released from prison, Git leaps to rescue a former best friend—now living with Git's girlfriend—from a brutal beating by loan sharks. That act drags him into the crosshairs of mob boss Tom French, who orders Git to Cork with fellow debtor Bunny Kelly to seek Frank Grogan and escort him to a man with a friendly face at a shack across a bog. The assignment proves tougher than it looks: Git is a novice, Bunny tends to act on impulse, Frank doesn’t want to be found and, once found, has no money, and there are hints that Tom may be planning to kill Frank, placing Git in a moral bind. And looming over it all is the long-ago disappearance of Sonny Mulligan. What should a decent and stand-up lad do?
