In a Land That No Longer Exists

Set in 1989 East Berlin, Suzie is expelled from school just before her high school graduation and must defend herself as a worker in the cable factory. A chance photograph propels her into the fashion world of the GDR, where editor-in-chief Elsa Wilbrodt places her on the cover of Sibylle, the GDR fashion magazine. In the Berlin underground scene she meets the gay fashion designer Rudi and the photographer Coyote. Suzie must decide whether she's brave enough to leave the old strands behind forever.
