In Front of Your Face
She has never lived in a high-rise apartment, and she wonders how her sister can endure that height every day. A few days ago she burst into her sister's life to stay with her, and she is now readjusting to life in Korea. While concealing a grave secret, she navigates each day with a mindful, one-day-at-a-time approach. Meanwhile, a director younger than her by several years has asked her to join his project, and after a courteous refusal, they agree to meet for the first time today. Downtown Seoul is threaded with narrow alleys that harbor tiny old bars, and that is where they meet. As they share drinks, a sudden rainfall and thunder roll in.
