In the Family
Set in Martin, Tennessee, Chip Hines, a precocious six-year-old, has known only life with his two dads, Cody and Joey, and it is a loving one. When Cody dies suddenly in a car accident, Joey and Chip struggle to regain their footing. Just as they begin to find their balance, Cody's will reveals that he named his sister as Chip's guardian. The years of Joey's welcome into the family unravel as Chip is taken away from him. Left in a now solitary home, Joey searches for a solution. The law is not on his side, but friends stand with him. Bolstered by their support and inspired by Cody's memory, Joey discovers a path to peace within the family and a closer bond with his son.
