Kanei Command Performance

Set during the reign of Shogun Iemitsu, a grand martial-arts tournament unfolds to decide whether Iemitsu will retain power or cede it to his uncle, Yornobu, the tenth son of Ieyasu. Among the entrants are numerous legendary swordsmen who endure in legend to this day. Leading the field are Yagyu Jubei (Kaga Takeshi) and Miyamoto Musashi (Matsukata Hiroki). This contest is billed as the all-star samurai showdown of the century. A thrilling television feature with non-stop action follows Yagyu Jubei as he must rescue an emissary of the Ming and reach Edo in time to face the crucial match.
