In the near future, the brilliant Dr. Komyoji is enlisted to lead the ARK Project—an ambitious initiative dedicated to forging a brighter tomorrow through robotics. Yet the doctor's mysterious death abruptly halts those plans. Not long after, the grieving Komyoji children fall into the crosshairs of a black ops unit hunting their father's research. From within the crossfire emerges Jiro, a bleeding-edge android programmed to protect the siblings. Now on the run, the Komyoji family discovers that their father's once hopeful ambitions have taken a dark turn.
