In autumn 1994, fifteen-year-old Simon disappears after visiting a convenience store; the following day his body is recovered from the river. Twenty-seven years later, his younger sister Élise strives to understand what drove him to jump from the bridge. With the guidance of Philippe, a charismatic pastoral facilitator who led Simon's self-help group, she discovers that things are far more complex than they appear.
