Lionel Richie: The Library of Congress Gershwin Prize For Popular Song

The Library of Congress and the nation’s artistic community honored pop icon Lionel Richie in Washington, D.C., on Wednesday, March 9, 2022, as he received the Library of Congress Gershwin Prize for Popular Song during an all-star tribute concert. The lineup featured performances by former Gershwin Prize honoree Gloria Estefan, Boyz II Men, Luke Bryan, Andra Day, Chris Stapleton, Miguel, Yolanda Adams, and a special performance by Lionel Richie himself. Actor and comedian Anthony Anderson hosted the event.
