Lord of the Flies
After a plane crash, a band of schoolboys is marooned on a tropical island without adult supervision. Ralph is chosen as chief and, aided by the astute Piggy, strives to preserve order and civilization. Jack, entrusted with tending the signal fire, grows increasingly preoccupied with hunting and the lure of authority. Growing rifts threaten their alliance, gradually pushing the boys from a state of hope and structure toward chaos and tragedy.
