Haunted by the death of his ex-wife, Luther returns to duty to confront a surreal, nightmarish case of a masked killer determined to enter into folklore. As the body count rises, Luther must marshal every skill to stop the killer, while simultaneously trying to rescue an old acquaintance's daughter from the perilous world of prostitution.
